Program description

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers Master degrees in Environmental Science and Geotechnique for students with a non-engineering science background. Students who have four-year science degrees and who wish to study applied environmental science specialize in the Environmental Science degree in civil engineering. This degree permits the study of applied environmental science in areas such as environmental health, chemistry, microbiology, zoology, or geography.

Admission requirements

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree or its academic equivalent from an accredited academic institution recognized by the University of Alberta, with a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale on the most recent two-years of full-time study (or equivalent).
