MSc in Economics & Communication: Financial Communication

The MSc in Economics & Communication: Financial Communication is designed to produce specialists that are able to bridge the knowledge gap between themselves and the public.

Students will develop into specialists who acts as an effective interface between the financial system and its stakeholders, being able to translate the "rules of the game" to each and all categories of "players" within the financial market.

The MSc in Economics & Communication: Financial Communication compromise both core and elective courses that are focused on business economics and finance, communication and argumentation, and law and ethics.

Upon completion of the MSc in Economics & Communication: Financial Communication graduates will have acquired fundamental analytical, argumentative and interpersonal skills, grounded in a solid knowledge of financial market behavior, strategies and regulations, which will enable them to efficiently craft the information for financial decisions.

MSc in Economics & Communication: Financial Communication graduates can look forward to working in banking, consultancy, investor relations, and the corporate communication areas of most firms.

Admission requirements

The formal requirement for admission to the Master's degree in Financial Communication is a Bachelor's degree granted by a recognised university. Bachelor's degree granted by a recognized university in Economics, Communication Sciences, or related disciplines.

Tuition fees

The semester fees are CHF 4,000. For candidates resident in Switzerland and Lichtenstein at the time of the final high school exam (maturità), the semester fee is CHF 2,000.

Scholarships & funding

For the academic year 2020/2021, the Foundation for the Lugano Faculties of the Università della Svizzera italiana will award a total of 60 one-off study grants of the amount of CHF 4'000 each. The merit-based grants are given to the students admitted to the first year of a USI Master programme starting in September 2020.
