About this program

Master of Arts in Interreligious Dialogue. Science, Philosophy and Theology of Religions

The Master of Arts in Interreligious Dialogue. Science, Philosophy and Theology of Religions has been designed to provide extensive knowledge of the major world religions and explain their basic principles, different structures, and history.

The Master’s course aims to teach its students to promote and develop dialogue with members of other religions by gaining an appreciation of other religions and learning how to communicate and hold effective interaction.

The programme is held entirely online and is promoted by the ReTe Institute ("Religions and Theology") of the Lugano Faculty of Theology.

Admission requirements

The Master is open to all those who have completed studies in Humanities (Bachelor, BSc Degree, Other Diploma). For those who have not completed literary, philosophical or theological studies, admission to the Master's degree is based on the candidate's CV and cover letter.

Target Audience

This programme is designed for all those who are interested in the topic of interreligious dialogue and would like to operate in this field. On the one hand, the Master's programme offers the possibility of an academic career, providing the option of starting a research project on the issues of interreligious cooperation.

On the other hand, it assigns the required knowledge to anyone who wishes to actively take part in the dialogue of religious actors; this means all those who are engaged in the field of international relations, communications and cultural mediation.
