International Doctoral Program in Culture Studies
As part of The Lisbon Consortium, the International Doctoral Program in Culture Studies is a dual-degree programme in Culture Studies awarded by Universidade Católica Portuguesa, the University of Giessen and the University of Copenhagen.
As an FCT-sponsored doctoral program, it offers 6 full fellowships funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. It builds from different disciplines in the humanities and the social sciences, thereby assuming the interdisciplinarity of contemporary modes of knowledge production focused on problem-oriented and practice-based research.
Applicants to the International Doctoral Program in Cultural Studies must fulfill the following requirements:
- An MA degree or recognized equivalent in any field of the humanities and social sciences
- Very good academic performance; Excellent CV
- Sufficient undergraduate training to do graduate work in the chosen field or relevant professional experience
- Competence in English (IELTS 7.0 minimum; TOEFL 100 + minimum 24 in all skills
- Cambridge Advanced Certificate B; CEFR C1)
