Master in Spanish as a Foreign Language: Teaching and Research
The Master's Degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language: Teaching and Research prepares graduates for a booming professional career, that of being a teacher of Spanish as an Second or FL, not only in Spain but also in other countries where Spanish is not a native language. The master's degree provides the necessary basis for the scientific and rigorous study of the different aspects of Applied Linguistics to the teaching/learning of Spanish as a foreign language. The University of Valladolid has been a pioneer, for more than fifty years, in the organization of Spanish teaching courses for foreign students. Its Language Centre is in charge of managing, organizing and teaching the programs of Spanish as a foreign language. This Language Centre will serve as the seed for external internships for the students of the master's program and for job placement.
Admission requirements
BA Degree in Philology in Spanish, Modern Languages, English Studies and Classical Studies, Translation and Interpretation Studies and equivalents. BA of the following degrees with courses on General Linguistics and Use of Spanish: BA Degree in any area of Education and Humanities; BA Degree in different degrees of Journalism and Communication; Other BA Degrees, engineers who demonstrate previous experience in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. All candidates are required to have a C1 level of Spanish.
