Course Information

Embedding Literacy and Numeracy (20 Credits)
Gain the skillset to embed literacy and numeracy training into a vocational or workplace programme, so that you can improve the reading, writing and numeracy skills of your students.

Learner Centred Practice (20 Credits)
Establishing a learning environment that is centred around the goals and outcomes of your students is key to their study success. This course will give you the skills and techniques to empower your students to achieve their learning goals.

Admission requirements

NCEA Level 2 or equivalent qualification

During your studies you need to ensure you have access to learners so you can deliver your session, and an observation can be completed, as part of the assessment requirements. You must be working with learners in a post‐secondary environment and must meet the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014.

The minimum entry requirement for international students is IELTS Academic score of 6.5 with no band score lower than 6.5 (or equivalent including TOEFL).

Students with NCEA Level 3 University Entrance are not required to provide evidence of English Language skills.
