Program description

Bachelor's Degree in Law

Studies in Law have enjoyed a prominent position in universities since the foundation of the first university institutions, in medieval times. For centuries they were one of the main branches of knowledge generated, transmitted and disemminated in these educational centres throughout the whole of Europe.

In addition, the gradual increase and variety in the number of scientific disciplines incorporated into the range of university degree courses during the last decades have not diminished the great traditional importance of a degree in law. In fact, today it continues to offer the type of nuclear training which is required, not only for the legal professions (lawyers, judges, prosecutors, notaries…) but also for access to a wide range of positions related to public service and other relevant sectors of professional activity such as business, consultancy and even politics. True to its origins, a Law degree has been a fundamental element of the degree courses offered by UC3M, since its founding in 1989. The degree content has always been determined on the basis of the main priority- to adapt to the changing demands of today’s society.
