Program description

MSc program Engineering Management - Baku Track

  • MSc program Engineering Management is running at TU Wien for almost 25 years with hundreds of alumni and the same program will be taught in Baku
  • Participants get an Austrian Master of Science degree from TU Wien, recognized internationally
  • The program is taught physically (no distant-no online) by international faculty from all over the world and both from Academia and Industry. 
  • Work-friendly schedule with only 13 -weekend modules (Friday to Tuesday) (11 Modules in Baku and 2 last modules in Vienna)
  • Finalizing the tasks and exams on the modules, and successfully completing the master thesis, participants will be awarded the Master of Science (MSc) from TU Wien
  • 2/3 of the graduates are in (high) management positions and 1/3 started their own businesses, majorly in the technology sector

What is Engineering Management?

Increasing demand for cross-functional skills and technology trends in the market, companies seek employees with technical and non-technical skills. Engineering Management Master's program at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) is designed to prepare graduates from technical and/or economic Backgrounds for leadership positions. The program will also be especially valuable for individuals who have already started their management careers in an engineering company or starting their technology start-ups.

  • Technology (Robotics, Startups, Nano-Femtotechnology, Metrology and TQM, etc.)
  • Company visits

Module B - Engineering Informatics

  • Computing (Cloud Computing, Big Data, Agile, IoT, Trends and etc. )
  • IT & Production (AI, LANs, CPS, Industry 4.0, etc.)

Module C - Business Management

  • Accounting (Statement of Cash Flows, Financial Statement Analysis, Quality Costs & Reports, Computerized Accounting Systems, etc.)
  • Financing (Financial Management, Forecasting & Planning, Replacement Decision, Long-term Financial Planning and Growth,  Bonds and Stocks, etc.)
  • Marketing (Marketing Environment, Consumer Buying Behavior Channels and Physical Distribution, Advertising and Publicity, Global Marketing, etc. )
  • Operations Management (Production and Operations Management, Productivity, Competitiveness and Strategy, Quality Management, Inventory Management, etc. )
  • Management Information Systems (Digital Strategies, The Web, Types of Information System, Going Mobile in the Digital Ag, Supply Chain Integration System, e-Busines, e-Markets, etc.)
  • International Law (Contracting, Licensing, Company Law, Mergers and Acquisitors, etc.)
  • Human Factors (Business and Engineering Communication, Creativity and Learning Skill, Ethics in Engineerin, Presentation, Research Methods, etc.)

Module D - Master Thesis

  • Master Thesis (The Master´s Thesis is an important part of the postgraduate program. It serves for the consolidation and integration of what has been learned and establishes a link between theory and practice. Students are encouraged to choose a specific and practical problem from their occupational activity and to solve it by the acquired knowledge.)

Caspian Scholarship

Scholarship Tuition Fee EUR 11,500. Only for applications with Azerbaijan, Georgian, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Russian citizenship and main residence in one of these countries.

Successful graduates recieve a Master of Science Diploma from TU Wien alongside with a certificate of MSc Degree.

The good grounding in engineering allows students to qualify for most professional engineering streams should they choose this route; whereas the management content provides the opportunity for graduates to seek employment in the broad management and commercial fields.
