If you were to describe Tel Aviv in just a few words it would probably be: diverse, creative, inclusive, unassuming and simply awesome!
Tel Aviv, Israel’s largest metropolitan area, serves as a hub for innovation, culture and creativity. "Tel Aviv Nonstop City", is more than just a slogan. With the city’s beautiful beaches, diverse cultural scene, top-notch cuisine, and vibrant nightlife, there’s always something to see and do here. The city serves as a meeting point between old and new, a mosaic that reflects tradition and history while embracing innovation, pluralism and diversity. It is vibrant, full of life, and provides an endless opportunity for discovery.
TAU International full time students are eligible to live in TAU provided housing pending availability. TAU housing includes the Einstein dormitories complex, which is adjacent to campus (based on availability) and the Broshim dormitories complex, located about 10 minutes walking distance from the Einstein dormitories on the other side of campus. The Broshim dorms are generally single rooms (reserved primarily for MA students or PhD/PostDoc pending availability).
Depending on enrollment, there may be cases where students are housed in off-campus TAU apartments (provided their home school approves of this). The TAU apartments are in the city center within a 30-minute commute of the campus. This primarily applies to students on a Study Abroad Spring semester.
During the confirmation process, which takes place on the student portal prior to arrival, students have the opportunity to request housing, and to request specific roommates or suitemates. While we do our best to accommodate such requests, it is absolutely not guaranteed and students should not assume otherwise. In addition, during the confirmation process, students may indicate if there are special circumstances to note for housing purposes. While we also cannot guarantee special accommodations can be met, we take all requests into consideration and do what we can to accommodate needs.
Contact the housing team for all questions or issues relating to TAU provided housing.
