Electrical Engineering PhD
The PhD program in electrical engineering prepares students for a career in academia or research-focused careers in electrical engineering that support research commercialization prospects, drive innovation, and increase entrepreneurial opportunities.
Expertise and infrastructure at South Dakota Mines support research and innovation in the following areas:

Current research is funded by the Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, NASA, and local industries, representing a collaborative environment that aims to solve societal challenges in our nation and world.
