Environmental Engineering, B.S.
Siena Heights University is one of the only liberal arts colleges or universities in the region to offer a bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering. This is an emerging career field, with the State of Michigan job outlook for environmental engineers looking very promising.
Meeting a need for both Environmental Science and Engineering majors, the program will help prepare students to enter a workforce that has an ever-demanding need for environmental engineers. In fact, STEM-related jobs are projected to increase by more than a million from 2012-22, according to the Occupational Outlook Quarterly.
In developing the major, Siena Heights consulted with industry leaders in the Ann Arbor and Detroit areas.Michigan alone is projected to demand 274,000 new STEM jobs by 2018, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Admission requirements
Prerequisites:
A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher in college transfer coursework including official transcripts.
