Cybersecurity
The Laurea Magistrale in Cybersecurity of the Sapieza University of Rome is characterized by aninterdisciplinary offering that collects contributions from computer science, engineering, statistics, legal-economic and organizational sciences, along with specific knowledge of the major application domains ofcyberattack protection. This master's degree provides English only teaching to facilitate integration into aninternational work environment, and the participation of foreign students and professors. The MSc inCybersecurity provides three study plans designed to train professionals with different skills, namelly: theSoftware plan, the Processes and Governance plan, and the Infrastructures and Systems plan. This master'sdegree is a 2-year, 120 ECTS program ending with the development and discussion of a final thesis project.
Admission requirements
To be admitted, students must meet the following requirements:
- hold a bachelor’s degree, a three-year university diploma or any other suitable title of study got abroad;
- have acquired at least 44 ECTS in the following disciplinary sectors as a whole:

Learning outcomes
The Masters Degree aims to endow students with advanced knowledge and train professional skills that are necessary to research, design, implement, test, coordinate and manage information technology systems related to the different application areas of computer sciences and technologies in the framework of the security and protection of computer systems, networks and infrastructures and the security and privacy of data treatment. The Masters graduates in Cybersecurity perform activities in order to design, develop, implement, check, maintain, control and manage secure and protected computer infrastructures and systems. The main purpose of their work is to constantly improve secure and protected computer systems, also in relation to the secure management of sensitive data, accompanied by the ability to adopt and suggest the use of innovative tools that are constantly made available in this field. Therefore, the Masters Degree aims to train professionals who are endowed with high-level scientific and technological knowledge, methodological and operational skills and who develop an open and critical mind towards the problems related to the use of computer technologies.
Career opportunities
The main professional opportunities of the Masters graduates in this area are found in the field of the security of infrastructure and computer systems and sensitive data treatment for companies providing products and services, public administrative bodies and, in general, any organisation using secure IT systems, such as small, medium-sized and large enterprises, public institutions, private and public research bodies and institutes for economic and social analyses.
