Awards & Accreditations
The faculty of Business and Economics at RWTH Aachen University is one of the few faculties in Germany to bear the international seal of approval of the renowned accreditation agency Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The first accreditation of the faculty took place in April 2011, the successful re-accreditation in 2016.
With the re-accreditation the AACSB praised the high quality standard in teaching and research, the innovative ability of the faculty as well as the commitment of the teachers. This applies in particular to the extensive e-learning offerings. Worldwide, only 5% of the economic science faculties are AACSB accredited. In Germany, only nine other faculties or business schools meet the high international standards of the AACSB.

Through close cooperation between universities, research institutions, companies and the city administration, Aachen has developed into one of the most important high-tech locations in Europe. The scientific competence available in Aachen has attracted renowned international companies and research institutions such as Ericsson, Ford, Philips, Takeda Pharma and Microsoft.
