ME Engineering Management

The engineering management master degree program from Rochester Institute of Technology is a combination of engineering courses from the industrial and systems engineering program and management courses from the E. Philip Saunders College of Business.

This engineering program combines technical expertise with managerial skills to focus on the management of engineering and technological enterprises.

The aim of this engineering management master is to build a solid foundation in all of the key areas which managers who oversee engineers and engineering projects commonly need.

Graduates of this engineering management degree will gain industrial engineering expertise, as well as knowledge in organizational behavior, finance, and accounting.

Admission requirements

To be considered for admission to the ME degree in engineering management, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Hold a baccalaureate degree in engineering, mathematics, or science,
  • Have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.00,
  • Submit official transcripts (in English) of all previously completed undergraduate and graduate course work,
  • Submit scores from the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) (optional),
  • Submit letters of recommendation,
  • Submit a 1-page statement of purpose, and
  • Complete a graduate application.
  • International applicants whose native language is not English must submit scores from an English language profficiency test. These include Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL and IELTS.
