Applied and Computational Mathematics MS
Through this Master of Science program, students will explore how sophisticated mathematical tools can be used to develop, modify and analyse models and system performance within an array of businesses and industries. Areas if application could include:
- Management science
- Biology
- Portfolio planning
- Facilities planning
- Control of dynamic systems
- Design of composite materials.
Through completing a thesis, students will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to apply mathematical models and methods to a variety of problems that arise in business, with the opportunity to specialize in discrete mathematics, dynamical systems and scientific computing.

Admission requirements
Students wanting to apply for this program must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a bachelor degree from an accredited institution in mathematics or any related field
- Completed course work in the following:
- Multivariable calculus
- Differential equations
- Matrix theory
- Probability and statistics.
- Knowledge of a programming language is required
- Submit the following:
- Official transcripts of all previously completed undergraduate and graduate course work
- A personal statement of educational objectives
- Two letters of recommendation
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Complete a graduate application
International students
Students whose native language is not English must hold a minimum score of one of the following:
- 550 for TEFL (paper-based)
- 79 for TEFL (internet-based)
- 6.5 for IELTS.
