Associate of Science - Automotive Undercar Specialist
The Automotive Undercar Specialist certificate/degree preparesstudents to apply technical knowledge related to service,diagnosis and repair of; Braking, Steering, and Suspensionsystems found on modern automobiles. Emphasis placedon hydraulics, wheel alignment, and vibration correctionprocedures. Antilock brakes, traction control, vehicle stabilitycontrol, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) arecovered.
The Associate of Science Degree in Welding Technologywill be awarded upon completion of the degree requirements,including general education and other graduation requirementsas described in the college catalog
Admission requirements
RCC has only two international student admission requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent OR over the age of 18 (minors may be considered for special admission)
- TOEFL iBT 45 or equivalent

- Demonstrate personal and shop safety procedures neededto safely work in an automotive shop environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to diagnose, service and repairautomotive suspension and steering systems usingindustry approved equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to diagnose, service and repairautomotive brake systems systems using industryapproved equipment.
- Utilize common shop equipment to correct wheelalignment and vibration concerns.
- Demonstrate ability to test and diagnose electronicsuspension, steering, and braking systems found onmodern automobiles.
