Program description

Master in Motor Neurocontrol

Justify decisions and interventions from a theoretical basis and based on the need of patients with neurological disorders and available resources. Use ethical principles in the process of critical reasoning. Show an appreciation of the different needs of people in society. Select and use assessments, specific for neurological processes, standardized and non-standardized and identify the functional capacity and weak and strong points of patients. Select, adapt and use means, techniques and therapeutic activities to maintain, improve or accept changes in participation. Ensure that the practice is based on professionally recognized evidence. Work with patients, and their caregivers, from different cultural and ethnic groups. Maintain an adequate record of the therapeutic activity. Evaluate the methods used in the provision of services Evaluate your own professional practice and the service offered to the patient, their caregivers and agencies. Be aware of the legislative and political implications at the local and national level that may have an impact on the practice. Apply the principles of quality assurance, including audit methods, to your own practice. Understand the research process and value a research culture. Apply the research process to the service and activities. Critically evaluate your own performance in research activities. Criticize the supposed knowledge of others. Assess the need to apply the research process to establish clinical efficacy. Resort to research in practice and establish the evidence on which professional practice is based. Take measures to develop knowledge and expertise, and dedicate themselves to continuous professional development and education. Use experience, research and professional knowledge and skills to improve the development of individual and general practice.

The requirements for access to the proposed title are according to article 16 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, modified by Royal Decree 861/2010, of July 2:

  1. To access the official master's degree programs, it will be necessary to hold an official university degree from Spain or another one issued by a higher education institution belonging to another member state of the European Higher Education Area, which will authorize access to university master education.
  2. Likewise, graduates may access according to educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area without the need for homologation of their degrees, after verification by the University that they accredit a level of education equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that they authorize in the issuing country the title for access to postgraduate education. The access by this way will not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous title of the one in possession of the interested party, nor its recognition for other purposes than that of studying the Master's degree.
