Since its founding in 1996, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) has stood out among Madrid Public Universities for its dynamic, vigorous character, and its commitment to the progress of society through an excellent, quality educational system.
URJC is spread out over five campuses and two centers, in key areas of Madrid, with a busy area of up to 1.26 million square meters, and more than 60 operative buildings. Thanks to its modern facilities and equipment, as well as a young, dynamic teaching staff with a strong commitment to practical teaching aimed at employability, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos is one of the fastest-growing European universities in terms of number of students enrolled, with a total enrollment of 50,988 students, including over 7,200 international students from 115 countries.
There are academic programs covering all the fields of knowledge: Law and Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Sciences, Engineering and Architecture. In 2019-2020, 80 bachelor's degrees, 79 double degrees and 80 master's degrees will be offered at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, along with their online bachelor's degrees and online master's degrees. We also offer bachelor's degrees and master's degrees through our English Campus.
We are proud to be recognized as a Campus of International Excellence, as well as obtaining the highest score in the QS GLOBAL RANKING 2018 in Internationalization, Innovation and Employability.

Accommodation
Currently, the University only has a university residence in the Campus of Madrid (Vicalvaro campus) with a capacity of 217 people: Perez de Vargas University Residence Hall.
