About this program
(BDCTEN) Certification in English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Proficiency in Business English
Our PCiBS English teacher will teach you English in our live online Learning Management System (LMS) while studying at PCiBS. If you use our English teacher, no IELTS or equivalent scores are needed. English enrolment is required at the same time.
The PCiBS Center offers a one-of-a-kind intensive language program with a course that is designed to complement one another and give in-depth English language teaching. The twelve-week-long module of the intense program enables students to gain the language abilities necessary for the academic environment as determined by standardized tests such as the IELTS
Each twelve-week module will consist of separate online classes for all full-time students. All students from A1 through to C1 need to take the core subjects (reading, writing, listening, grammar, and speaking). Students in grades 8 through 10 may substitute a transition course for one of the core courses. Students in Levels B1 – C1 have the option of adding an IELTS test preparation course to their class schedule. C2 students PCiBS do not require any IELTS scores.
Initial placement is determined solely by test scores. Students will automatically progress to the next level if they get passing grades; students with exceptional exam results at the conclusion of a twelve-week module may skip one or more levels. After each twelve-week module, all students take a placement test and an accomplishment test to determine their progress.
All the English Core Skills courses are taught at 9 different proficiency levels. At each level, students will improve their proficiency through a host of communicative activities, including TEFL-style forms of practice. The levels are as follows::
A1.0 – complete beginner
A1.1. – basic user
A1.2 - beginner with some prior knowledge
A2 - elementary
B1.1 – lower intermediate
B1.2 – intermediate
B2 – upper intermediate
C1 – advanced
C2 - fluent

Teaching methods and style
We’re a 100% online education provider, so we use a state-of-the-art learning management system (LMS) to deliver our active teaching, resources and assessments. Our system tracks and manages the learning process in real-time and provides you with immediate access to your learning materials.
What is competency-based education?
This type of education measures skills and learning rather than time. PCiBS students’ will progress through courses when they can prove they’ve mastered the material and not only at the end of a semester or term. Some students can learn faster, spend more time on schoolwork, or utilize the knowledge they have from prior learnings.
With 24/7/365 access to online learning resources, students can embark on a tailored educational journey according to their current knowledge and competencies. Each potential student performs an online self-assessment before his engagement as a student with PCiBS. Besides, faculty members and lecturers will provide personalized learning support.
It doesn’t matter what obstacles and challenges you face, PCiBS will put you in charge of your education. The following items are crucial to putting YOU into the driver’s seat of your studies.
- It’s individualized: Because every student is different, we believe the learning experience for our students should be built around you, not PCiBS.
- It’s efficient: You focus on learning the material that’s new to you. We assist in some topics where you need a bit of a refresher and follow on through subjects you know well. If you are competent, you are qualified! We don’t waste your time.
- It’s supportive: You have a whole team around you to assist you in making a success of your studies, from our faculty, lecturers, staff, and your fellow students.
