About this program
Awarded by: Open University Validation Services
Are you ready to change the face of fashion? Do you want to build narratives using fashion, film, photography, graphics, journalism and social media?
Our creative and dynamic programme balances the honing of practical skills and experience with an understanding of the theoretical and conceptual. This course, strictly for the fashion curious, will allow you to gather intelligence and insight from the cultural landscape and turn it into exciting multi-media communications for print, digital or (the) experiential.
With above average contact time with our specialist tutors, along with state-of-the-art studios, audiovisual equipment and access to WGSN’s fashion trend forecasting and design tools, you can realise your aspirations to direct fashion shoots or films, style for promos or
explore journalistic opportunities in a programme that responds in real time to shifts in the fashion industry.
You will have the chance to work with professional photographers and graphic designers on visual branding and PR, including look books and moving images, with opportunities to visit major trade fairs and fashion shows, including London and Paris Fashion Week.
You will have the opportunity to diversify and tailor your learning, developing strong conceptual, visual and written communication skills, and exploring a broad range of techniques in art direction, styling, photography, film, graphics, retail design, fashion writing
and advertising. By cultivating an original approach to fashion communication, you will graduate with a varied portfolio of professional creative work.
