Program description

Graduate Diploma in Strategic Communications Management

This course is designed for big thinkers who want to make real connections in a world of constant technological, environmental, political and population change. Learning directly from experts in the field, you’ll develop job-ready skills for non-government, government and corporate sectors.

By learning how to hone your problem-solving and strategy skills through an ethical lens, you’ll be in a prime position to challenge real world problems in international, national and local contexts. Discover the tactics behind how and why communication needs to be strategized, and develop your own informed, independent solutions. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of advocacy, managing reputation and public relations, and working through crisis management.

With the Graduate Certificate of Strategic Communications Management, you will experience professional internships, research and field trips. You can also choose to develop deep knowledge in elective fields such as digital media and entrepreneurship, managing sports communication or practising persuasive communication.

Engaging with a wide range of industry experts, leading academics and peers alike will allow you to cultivate the breadth of communication skills needed to work in this wide-reaching field.

On completion of the course, you’ll be career-ready for an exciting range of professions. The course will equip you with invaluable specialist and industry-relevant knowledge and skills which will give you that competitive edge.

Alternatively, you can continue to strengthen your pathway through the Master of Strategic Communications Management. Offered as a 6 months full-time course or one year part-time, you’ll soon be ready to take that next step in your career. Be a part of the change you want to see.
