A consortium of Eighteen universities have been awarded funding to launch postgraduate conversion courses in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science from the Office for Students (OfS), and Manchester Met is one of them.
Manchester Met is looking for a new generation of idealists, visionaries and problem solvers to help business, industry and government make the right decisions in our increasingly complex and uncertain world.
Through specialist teaching and paid work placements, the conversion course will allow graduates to boost their digital skills. As well as enabling graduates from a wide range of disciplines to achieve a postgraduate qualification and begin working in artificial intelligence and data science occupations, helping to address the shortage of AI and data specialists in the UK.
The standard postgraduate entry requirement is a second-class honours degree (2:2 or above) from a UK university, or an equivalent international qualification. However, applications will also be reviewed on their individual merits, and professional qualifications and any relevant work experience will also be taken into consideration.
