Associate Degree in Administration of Justice
The Associate Degree in Administration of Justice is directed towards students who would like to prepare for entry-level employment in the criminal justice system. The Associate Degree in Administration of Justice aims to give students the opportunity to explore the history, development, structure and functions of the American criminal justice system.
Through the duration of the Associate Degree in Administration of Justice students will apply criminological/criminal justice theories, principles, and concepts to address real-life situations in the field, as well as recognize the importance and practice of legal and ethical behavior in a professional criminal justice work setting.
Associate Degree in Administration of Justice students will also analyze, interpret, and evaluate criminological/criminal justice theories, policies, practices and procedures to develop strategies to control and prevent crime.
Upon completion of the Associate Degree in Administration of Justice successful students will be prepared for entry-level positions in a variety of entry level employment opportunities within the criminal justice system such as Law Enforcement, Corrections, and the Courts. Appropriate course selection will also facilitate transfer in a related major.
