Why study this course?
Graduates from this course are able to embark upon careers in the field of computer science or mathematics, but also work more broadly in the computing industry. In addition, the graduates from this course can proceed to PGCE in Secondary Mathematics Teaching, as well as MSc in Computing and Mathematics areas.
Since at least half of this degree is in Mathematics and Mathematics is SIV (Strategically important and vulnerable) subject, the students on this course will be eligible for ELQ (Equal Level Qualifications) funding.

Students learning activities include:
Students are expected to develop advanced cognitive skills to help them apply appropriate mathematical processes in problem solving; develop logical mathematical arguments with appropriate conclusions and an evaluation of their limitations; formulate complex problems, analyse and interpret the results in context; develop self-awareness and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
