Program description

Education: Early Years and Primary FdA (Full-time)

Why study this course?

The Education: Early Years and Primary sector foundation degree builds on your experience of working in an education setting by engaging with academic theory that includes psychology, sociology and education. As part of the course you'll learn new skills and develop your knowledge of working in the primary education and early years sectors with 3 to 11-year- olds.

The course includes on-the-job training supported by a mentor at work, allowing you to put what you learn on the course into practice, ensuring you will be well equipped for career progression.

We’ll build on your previous primary and early years education experience by combining both theoretical and work-based learning. This will increase your understanding of the complexities underpinning teaching techniques and the experience of working with children in education.
