Program content
Peace and Development Studies is your main subject within the programme. If you wish to graduate with a double bachelor degree, you can choose an additional major from either Sociology, Gender studies, Economics or Political Science. This combination gives you an additional advantage when you enter the labour market and also broadens your possibilities for acceptance in a Master’s programme. However, you can also combine Peace and Development Studies with an array of courses from all other areas, as long as they are relevant for our subject area.
All classes within Peace and Development Studies are taught in English, this familiarizes you with an international working environment. However, in order to complete their degree, students will choose from a variety of other areas which might feature classes taught in Swedish. The programme includes one semester where you can choose to do an internship or study abroad.
During your studies you are invited to participate in different activities related to your future working life, such as visits to different organisations and seminars with visiting practitioners.
