Evolutionary Ecology of Fishes

This multidisciplinary program helps students develop an advanced knowledge of ecology, evolution and organism biology, in order to explore biological diversity among fishes.Students will learn about systematics, taxonomy, and distribution, along with current research topics in fish ecology - such as life-history strategies, behavior, and evolutionary adaptations. The program will also cover how populations and species are impacted by spatial and temporal changes in the environment, from climate change to habitat modification.

Admission requirements

General entry requirements for second-cycle studies and specific entry requirements:

  • 90 credits in Biology/Ecology/Microbiology including an independent project/degree project worth at least 15 higher education credits, or the equivalent.
  • English B/6 or equivalent.
