Linköping University (LiU) was granted university status in 1975 and today has 32,000 students. including 2,000 international students. LiU rank among more than 20,000 universities in the world, both as a young university and in several subject rankings, such as Nursing, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Energy Science and Engineering (Shanghai list’s subjects ranking 2019).
In close collaboration with the business world and society, LiU conducts world-leading, boundary-crossing research in fields including materials science, IT and hearing. More than half of the LiU research budget comes from external funding.
LiU is accredited by the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ) and offers degree programmes within Bussines, Design, Engineering and Computer Sciences, Environmental studies, Natural sciences and Social Sciences.

In this video we share some advice for applicants and admitted students, including: Recommendations before you arrive in Sweden, planning your studies, understanding what is expected from you, the importance of both working in groups and studying independently. We also give you examples of some examination forms: Written exams, home exams, lab reports, oral exams. If you have been admitted to full-time studies at LiU, you will have to study at least 40 hours per week.
