Master of Business Economics
The Master of Science in Business Economics emphasizes the acquisition of fundamental knowledge and skills related to the corporate world, international business, strategy and innovation, entrepreneurship, financial economics and marketing and accounting and financial management.
The Master of Business Economics (MBE) is a one-year Master's program taught in English. The program is oriented towards students with an entrepreneurial personality and broad socio-economic interests who have already acquired a bachelor's degree in economics or business economics. The program emphasises the acquisition of fundamental knowledge and skills in one area of specialisation related to the corporate world such as international business, strategy and innovation, entrepreneurship, accounting and financial economics and marketing.
Admission requirements
To be eligible for the Master of Science in Business Economics, you have to hold an academic bachelor’s degree in either economics or business economics that is equivalent to one of the following KU Leuven degrees:
- BSc in Economics
- BSc in Business Economics
- BSc in Business Engineering
Proficiency in English
- TOEFL: iBT 94 (minimum subscore per item 20)
- IELTS: 7.0 (minimum subscore per item 6.0)
- Applicants who obtained an IELTS of 6.5 (minimum subscores 6.0) or a TOEFL of 90 (minimum subscores 20 out of 30) and have afterwards completed at least 1 year of full-time study in higher education in the English language, may also be considered for admission.
- Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): overall score 180
- Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE)
