Program description

Research encompasses work in cultural, social, political and development or economic geography. It is clustered around 4 intersecting areas: family mobility, higher education and medical geography or social demography; international migration, development, sustainability and cultural economies; South Asian and cross-cultural world literature, postcolonial life worlds and literary representations of place and space; and cultures of mobility’s and security, particularly through bio politics, resilience and the empirical context of the aerial. Other important areas of research are in spatial theory; health; geographic information systems (GIS) and gender equality.
