Master's degree in Public Administration (in Portuguese only)
The Master's Degree in Public Administration presents itself as a course of in-depth and specialised studies on topics pertaining to Central and Local public Administration and which focuses on issues of definition and implementation of Public Policies in Portugal.
This course's purpose is to contribute for the development of an area of expertise which is scarcely studied in our society and, by the same token, to enable the opening of new university research domains. From the curricular perspective, it is important to contribute towards the development of skills adequate to a process of change of the Public Administration's operation, according to which the values of efficiency and efficacy must be assumed, together with those of equity, transparency and effectiveness.
The complexity of the role of the State and Administration call for an in-depth diversified and specialised training, as well as a greater knowledge on the different administration models and systems used in the European context.
