IAB is a leading European Performing Arts Institution preparing artists for the world stage in an intense, studio-based learning environment. All teaching is in English and we offer vocational training of the highest standard in a variety of fields, including: Acting (BA Hons) Commercial Dance (BA Hons) Dance (Foundation, BA Hons) Musical Theatre (Foundation, BA Hons) Masters (Acting, Musical Theatre and Choreography specialisms).
Located in the beautiful beach-side town of Sitges, Barcelona, the IAB is a truly international and dynamic organisation with students from over 50 nationalities . All courses are geared towards preparing graduates for careers as professional performers in their chosen field and our Bachelor and Masters courses are validated by Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in the United Kingdom who are our awarding body.

Scholarships & funding
Talent Scholarships:
The IAB offers a limited number of Talent Scholarships each year. These are available for BA (Hons) programmes and awarded to new students who demonstrate outstanding talent at audition. You cannot therefore apply for a Talent Scholarship, instead students will be assessed at the audition to determine if they are eligible. They are open throughout the academic year. A Talent Scholarship constitutes a reduction in fees, rather than a full fee waiver.
Financial Aid:
Financial aid is a grant towards your Tuition Fees. If awarded, this constitutes a small reduction in your Tuition Fees. Applicants will be required to provide supplementary evidence. Once you have been made an offer, you can request the financial aid application form.

- We have a Student Services team that will help you with accommodation, visas and anything else you need to help you settle in.
- We have over 20 studios across two campuses, plus a 200-seat theatre with full lighting and sound system.

Campuses
- The IAB is based on two campus sites.
- Our main building is located a few minutes walk from the beach and is close to the centre of Sitges.
- From Sitges there are regular trains to Barcelona and it is a quick bus or train journey to Barcelona International airport.
Student lifestyle
- IAB is only a 15-minute walk into the centre of Sitges which has traditional old white buildings and shops, cafes and restaurants.
- Sitges is a cultural centre with regular international events including carnival, Sitges International Film Festival and Gay Pride.
- The town is on a wide bay of sandy beaches.
- Sitges is very compact so you can get around on a bike, scooter or walking.
Accommodation
There are plenty of accommodation options near the Institute. Most first-year students live in the Utopia student accommodation which is only seven minutes’ walking distance from the campus; it is affordable and has a friendly ‘home away from home’ atmosphere.
There are plenty of private accommodation options as well.
