Career paths
Graduates of the study program in Fashion Design (B.A) have career prospects that are just as varied as the program is creative. After studying at the AMD, you will have a whole host of qualifications and, of course, all the skills required to create your own fashion designs – either with an established company or by setting up your own brand. But this is just one of your potential career paths after studying Fashion Design (B.A.). AMD graduates work for many prestigious fashion companies and labels, including Acne Studios, Marco Polo, McQ Alexander McQueen, Hugo Boss, Balmain, Dries van Noten, Isabel Marant, R13, Mulberry, JW Anderson, Iris van Herpen, Adidas, Jil Sander, Closed, Esprit, H&M, lala Berlin, About You, Cinque, Mytheresa, H&M, Diesel, Elle, and Vogue.
If you choose to work in fashion design, you will be responsible for the design, development, and material selection. If you enjoy media production, you could become a stylist for film and photo productions. Trend scouts seek out and analyze color developments, new materials, and contouring. Magazines, publishers, agencies, and labels need fashion design professionals to display fashion illustrations and create graphic representations of collections and visuals.
