Why Financial Analysis and Business Development?
Financial markets have become turbulent and face increasing regulatory pressures today. The diversity and complexity of financial contracts and financial reporting – be it for corporate world or investment management applications – require specialised in-depth knowledge of financial theory, coupled with sound accounting principles.
Our specialisation in Financial Analysis and Business Development develops the necessary skills for you to pursue a successful career in investment management or corporate financial management. The combination of accounting, finance, and corporate governance and commercial law, offers you a comprehensive view of how to ensure financing and manage assets in global financial markets. It also teaches you how international accounting practices and regulations help secure sustainable business practices and continued trust from stakeholders.
The combination of accounting and finance together with governance and commercial law will give you a comprehensive view of:
- managing assets in global financial markets with multiple sources of risk
- measuring, creating, and managing corporate value
- analyzing profitability and value creation of businesses
- international accounting practices and regulations

Admission requirements
- TOEFL IBT test or TOEFL iBT® Home Edition: a minimum score of 92 (internet-based test)
- IELTS Academic or IELTS Indicator (Academic): a minimum score of 6.5
- Cambridge C1 Advanced: Grade C
- Cambridge C2 Proficiency (previous name CPE): a minimum result of C1 (or C if taken when the test was called CPE)
- PTE Academic: a minimum 62
- The Finnish National Certificate of Language Proficiency YKI test in English: Level 5 proficiency in all sections of the Advanced level YKI test. Results from separate test dates can be combined.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree or secondary education conducted in English language in: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom or the United States (no other countries are accepted).
