Program description

Integrative Data Analytics

Integrative data analytics majors will graduate from Goucher prepared and competitive in their field, well grounded in a mathematical foundation and with computational competence. Students will gain the ability to analyze robust datasets, an interdisciplinary perspective that has a human and ethical focus, and a perspective that a liberal arts college has the unique ability to provide.

Admission requirements

Goucher College is a four-year residential private liberal arts college. The selection process is highly individualized, and members of Goucher's Admissions Committee read every application, paying particular attention to personal qualities and intellectual promise. Admission is granted to the college for fall and spring semester. We accept the Common Application.

Goucher has adopted a test-optional program, where submitting scores for the SAT Reasoning Test and ACT with writing are optional when applying for admission. Although you may elect not to submit scores as part of the process of determining admission, please know that all admitted applicants who matriculate must furnish test scores for research and advising purposes.

Applicants whose first language is not English must submit either the TOEFL or IELTS exam. For the TOEFL, we require a score of 80 or higher with at least a 20 in each section. For the IELTS we require a score of 28 with no section score lower than 7.0.

Program content

The newly created integrative data analytics major is a deeply interdisciplinary program in which students can choose to specialize in data and mathematical sciences or another existing major such as economics (other tracks in the social sciences, sciences, and humanities are on the way). Students choosing to specialize in another existing major will apply data analysis, mathematical modeling, and computational techniques in courses like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to solve complex problems in that discipline.

Tuition fees

The total cost of attendance is $60,150 per year. This includes tuition and required fees, plus room and board. However, 96% of Goucher students receive financial assistance at an average of $37,500 per year.

Scholarships & funding

Goucher offers generous financial aid (consisting of scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study) to help bridge the gap between your family's resources and the cost of attending Goucher. Ninety-six percent of Goucher students receive financial aid. We work with each of our students to make college accessible. Please visit the website for more information.
