Goucher College
Goucher College is preparing its students for the jobs of the future. Located just outside of Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A., the college focuses on helping students become self-directed learners who can delve into complex problems, learn from others with different views, and understand that the future is always evolving.
Goucher is one of the only colleges in the U.S.A. to offer a 100% Study Abroad program and provides more than 60 opportunities in 32 countries and six continents. At Goucher, all students will experience a culture different than their own, creating a more accepting environment where everyone’s stories help to form a diverse community.
Consistently ranked one of the most innovative colleges by U.S. News & World Report, Goucher’s innovative curriculum and community-based learning, help students realize the impact they are capable of through social and environmental justice lenses. Additionally, small class sizes mean professors know students by name, understand their passions, and are committed to helping them succeed as life-long learners.
A highlight of Goucher's unique liberal arts curriculumis the requirement that all undergraduates must study abroad at least once before graduation, making the college the first in the nation to make such a bold move in globalized education. Goucher's coursework reflects the core values of a liberal arts education: proficiency in English composition and in a foreign language, solid foundations in history, abstract reasoning, scientific discovery and experimentation, problem-solving, social structures, and environmental sustainability.
