Associate in Electronics

Flip the switch on a career in electronics, and prepare to help engineers design, test, install, maintain and repair all types of electronic equipment. Gateway’s Electronics associate degree program will ensure you’re ready to move into a well-paying career. You’ll satisfy your need to solve problems and work with your hands while our expert faculty work you to gain comprehensive hands-on training with state-of-the art equipment.

Electronics focuses on the installation, maintenance, modification, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of a wide variety of electronic equipment. In addition to comprehensive training in electronic theory, lab experience is an integral part of the program. The study areas include AC/DC principles, transistor operation, digital circuits, microprocessors, optoelectronics, communications, and industrial electronics. The operation and use of various test and diagnostic equipment is included throughout the curriculum.

This program is also available on a part-time basis.

Admission requirements

Students must meet one of the following: minimum high school GPA of 2.6, minimum college GPA of 2.0, or complete valid reading, writing, and math placement assessments.
