Futuregames Preparatory course
The Preparatory course is suitable for applicants to Futuregames higher vocational game development educations.
Futuregames portfolio course arms you with the ideal start to transition into studying games development at top international games development schools, and commencing your career journey in the games industry. It entails 3 weeks of intensive study with individual mentoring and feedback on your portfolio.
We offer portfolio courses in the following three disciplines:
- Games Artists
- Games Designers
- Games Programmers
The portfolio course for the respective discipline will provide you with:
- An overview of the industry and career advice
- Instruction in the most useful tools & platforms for games development
- One-on-one and group feedback to help you create a portfolio or work samples needed to apply to Futuregames or other games development schools.
Recommended equipment
A computer with the capability of running Maya/Unreal engine:
CPU: Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5 GHz or faster
RAM: Minimum 8 GB
Graphics card compatible with DirectX 11 or DirectX 12
Tools and Software
Please observe that free/educational licenses to the software will be provided to you for the duration of the course.
The tools & software that you will have the opportunity to explore are:
- Unreal Engine
- Unity3D
- Autodesk Maya
- Substance Designer
- Adobe Photoshop
- Visual Studio
