Master’s Degree in International Trade and Economic Relations
The Master’s Degree in International Trade and Economic Relations (MUCREI) is designed to train you to understand and master the instruments used in foreign trade and in global business strategies, while at the same time delving into political, economic, and geo-strategic principles and the keys to corporate diplomacy that allow companies to successfully access the most attractive markets on a global level. You'll study specific management modules, where key aspects such as international finance, management and negotiation skills, global marketing and geo-strategic analysis are explored.

Module VI: Company Internationalisation Strategies
- Marketing strategies.
- New technologies in foreign trade.
- Organisational strategies for internationalisation processes.
Module VII: Foreign Trade Instruments I
- Foreign trade institutions and regulations.
- Operational risks in foreign trade.
- Document management.
Module VIII: Foreign Trade Instruments II
- International contracting.
- Insurance and guarantees in foreign trade.
- Information systems and reporting.
Module IX: In-Company Internships
Module X: Final Master’s Project
The alternative scientific specialisation path involves orienting the professional internship and Final Master's Project towards economic and business research, and requires the completion of three specific modules that will replace modules VI, VII and VIII of the professional specialisation:
- Module I. Quantitative methods.
- Module II. Economic research.
- Module III. Business research.

With all of the above, and taking into account the two-pronged approach of the master's degree, we aim to develop the following general competencies in students, in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 1393/2007 for the master's degree level:
- GC.1. Capacity for make correlations, honing perception and analytical skills and interpreting the environment in order to be able to integrate information and make decisions in new environments.
- GC.2. Knowledge integration, i.e. having an integrated vision of all the dimensions of a company or international organisation, in order to be able to analyse problems and look for solutions as a group.
- GC.3. Ability to understand and leverage cultural diversity, developing respect for diversity.
- GC.4. Ability to work as part of a team, innovative mentality and decision-making.
- GC.5. Communication skills (in both Spanish and English) to debate and present ideas and business projects in each area of the course syllabus to a specialised or non-specialised audience.
- GC.6. Entrepreneurial spirit required to incorporate the knowledge and skills developed during the master's degree into a Final Master’s Project.
- GC.7. Critical thinking skills and a capacity for self-criticism.
