Engineering Management
Prepare to lead the way with a Master of Engineering Management (MEM) degree from Saint Martin's. The MEM provides engineering and science graduates with a balance of engineering, managerial, business, marketing, legal and information systems tools for an engineering management career in either the private or public sector.

Electives
Students must take 6 semester hours of approved graduate electives in the MEM, MSCE, MSME, MBA, or CSC program. Elective classes must be numbered at the 500 level and above. Electives taken other than MEM must be first approved by the program director.

Qualification
Graduate certificates in engineering management are designed to provide concentrated coursework in a specific area to enhance the skills of working professionals or to build expertise in a specific area of interest. Students are required to complete 12 semester hours in one of the graduate certificates areas:
- Engineering management fundamentals
- Construction management
- Entrepreneurship and innovation management
- Lean/Six Sigma

Black Belt certification: The Lean/Six Sigma certification program meets a Green Belt certification. A student seeking Six Sigma Black Belt certification will find the graduate certificate in lean methodology plus MEM 675 Lean Six Sigma Principles (3 semester hours) and its projects to be excellent preparation for the Black Belt examination.
From certification to MEM: A student admitted to the graduate certificate program who has completed the graduate certificate in engineering management fundamentals plus any of the other certificate areas, may complete the MEM 699 Capstone Research Project (3 semester hours) and receive the MEM degree.
