Master in Smart Cities and Urban Policy

In today's increasingly global economy, metropolitan areas are centers of economic competition and growth. The distribution of capital, knowledge, labor pools, and infrastructure across geographical space play a major role in a metropolitan area's economic development and prosperity.

Many 21st century cities are currently being transformed in order to embrace new challenges regarding technological, urban and mobility. In order to do this, many cities will need to implement an effective, sustainable and tailor-made economic strategy. Some of the key challenges that they will need to overcome include shaping new urban patterns, preserving and enhancing their environment, and find a balance between fast-moving rates of urbanization and people’s quality of life.

This Smart Cities and Urban Policy Graduate Degree from Ecole Polytechnique offers students the opportunity to gainan in-depth understanding of new and transforming metropolitan areas and their competitive environments.
