East Surrey College (part of Orbital South Colleges) is a successful vocational college situated in Redhill, Surrey between Croydon and Gatwick welcoming students from a wide geographic area. We deliver a wide variety of full-time study programmes for young people and a range of full and part-time qualification and non-qualification courses for adults, including evening and Saturday courses. From September 2022, our full-time study programme offer for 16-18s will include T Levels.
Our Apprenticeship offer is very wide meeting local employment and employer needs. Our courses run from Entry/Level 1 to Level 6 (Higher Education) with a key focus on career progression, upskilling for employment and higher level study. Students learn in fantastic facilities from vocationally expert teachers.
Our students succeed and achieve top grades and national competition success in increasingly high numbers with recent data placing our success rates for young people well within the top 10% of further education colleges nationally – a super result for our students. Most students progress directly into work or higher education once they complete with us. Many local employers work closely with us for their staff and apprenticeship recruitment and value highly the standards of work readiness our students demonstrate.
Of course college is not just about studying – you will be making new friends and hopefully taking advantage of the other opportunities available whether sports, charity events, our record label or College Council. You may be a budding entrepreneur in which case we have special events with input from large and small businesses to help you excel.
The College also offers a wide range of qualification courses suitable for adults who are looking to change careers, improve their prospects or learn something new for enjoyment. The College is open several evenings in the week and there is a thriving Saturday programme that includes a range from the hundreds of leisure courses from which to choose.
