911 and Emergency Response
This is a one-year program of study in emergency response, dispatch and communications. It is offered on a part-time basis.The employment is diversified and encompasses the public and private sectors. Employers include fire, police, ambulance, paramedic services, alarm companies, security companies, and numerous others who dispatch emergency response teams. This program has been designed in consultation with, and is supported by, the full cross-section of potential employers. This type of work attracts people of all ages, is non-gender specific, and can accommodate people with disabilities. Needs assessments determine that there is a strong need for qualified, trained individuals to enter this profession. The salary range is approximately $40,000.00 to $56,000.00 per year.
