Program description

The Criminal Investigation with Policing Studies BA (Hons) is a degree programme designed for the extremely broad contemporary policing employment market. The course equips students to become professional and reflective practitioners in the public or private policing sector. This course is for those students who wish to study criminal investigation with policing but do not necessarily want to join the police service. Benefit from innovative teaching alongside an experienced practitioner and research-based academic team, who have strong links with the British Society of Criminology and the Society of Evidence Based Policing and choose from one of two specialist pathways; Contemporary Policing or Investigative Management to tailor your learning to your career interests. 97.7% of our Health and Life Sciences graduates from summer 2016 are in work or further study after graduating, according to the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) 2015-16 report [above the sector average of 94.3%].
