Bioethics
The doctor of bioethics is capable of making research in the field of bioethics and solving complex tasks that emerge in clinical practice with regard to protection of the human dignity as well as a concrete patient, define and use basic principles, argue in accord with the laws of logic and make research in the field. The ability to intervene into the health system and to advise in the legislation process of healthcare, active participation in local as well as central committees and in approval of clinical studies and medical research in general, original processing of particular topics of bioethics, pedagogic and didactic activity on schools aimed at health and education of the lay public.
Admission requirements
Admission to Doctoral studies is conditioned by successful completion of a Master's study programme.
Description of verification and evaluation criteria
The admission examination is held in the form of interview before a board and it checks the student’s capacity for scientific work in the given field and his/her capacity to complete the studies. Criteria evaluated by the board are following:
- Quality of the topic and project of the dissertation thesis and the way of its presentation, proposal of the supervising tutor/consultant and financial coverage of the project – max. 30 points.
- Previous scientific activity in this field (publications, presentation in a Student Scientific Conference, etc.) – max. 20 points.
- Knowledge of this field in the extent of the master study – max. 50 points.
Required minimum score for acceptance: 60 points.
