Our Graduate Certificate of Alcohol and Other Drugs provides health and allied health professionals, and non-health professionals the opportunity to study in a program that meets specific professional development needs and provides a pathway to future post-graduate studies. The course is designed to develop your understanding of contemporary issues surrounding alcohol and other drug use from social, political, health, psychological, physiological and legal perspectives. In addition, you will develop skills in assessment for substance misuse, motivational interviewing, treatment design and relapse prevention. Admission requirements
Successful completion of a recognised bachelor degree, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, master s degree or equivalent international qualification in a relevant field.
Applicants without a recognised bachelor degree or equivalent international qualification, but who have a minimum of four years' professional experience in a relevant health or allied health related discipline, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants must provide further documentation in the form of a curriculum vitae (CV) with their application.
English language requirements
To gain entry into Charles Darwin University, all Higher Education applicants must satisfy the University's English Language Proficiency Requirements for their chosen course of study. International applicants will be required to supply evidence of this at the time of application.
