Earn a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (International), Specialization in Global Production Management
The three-year (six-semester) B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (International), Specialization in Global Production Management program offers students a well-balanced theory-and practical-based curriculum. The Bachelor of Science program comprises lectures, tutorials and lab courses, with lecturers and tutors coming from different institutes in KIT. This ensures that the quality of the subjects taught will be of the highest standard.
Global Production Management teaches the fundamental principles of methodical product development processes. The major enables graduates to systematically support engineering teams throughout the whole product development process. The focal point of product development and production are robotic systems-- in particular, service robots and the methods associated, in order to achieve a target-oriented development of such complete mechatronic systems. The goal is to learn how to develop a new integrated approach based on classic design methodology.
Besides the academic demands, B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (International), Specialization in Global Production Management-students are also expected to complete at least 12 weeks of internship, with at least 6 weeks for their basic industrial internship and at least 6 weeks for their advanced internship. Successful graduates of the B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (International), Specialization in Global Production Management can be sure to find job placements after their studies to those experiences and the network of the CBS.
Applicants need to meet the following criteria:
- High school education at a level equivalent to the German ‘Abitur’ (German High School Diploma), for example, A-levels, International Baccalaureate
- Two positive letters of recommendation from high school teachers
- SAT test: (Math, Evidence-Based Reading and Writing; at least 1200 points)
- Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL/ IELTS/ TOEIC)
