Designed for graduates who want a career or a postgraduate degree in psychology. Also ideal if you have a non-psychology degree or insufficient credits in psychology from your first degree to qualify for the Graduate Basis for Chartered membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
The MSc Psychology [Conversion] delivers an important combination of theoretical and practical knowledge taught by experienced research-active academics. It is specifically aimed at individuals looking for a career in psychology who did not study it as an undergraduate degree. The programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society.
Admission requirements
The entry requirements to study the MSc Psychology [Conversion] are as follows:
- Lower second-class honours degree (or international Equivalent) in any subject OR a third-class British Psychological society accredited Psychology degree; and
- Mathematics GCSE qualification (or international equivalent) at grade C (reformed GCSE grade 4) or above
- English GCSE qualification at grade C (reformed GCSE grade 4) or above (for domestic students only)

Program delivery
10 -15 months (full-time),22 -27 months (part-time)
All of our lecturers are qualified professionals and academics in their own field. Our faculty are research-active academics in psychology, covering a broad spectrum of areas. As a department we ensure that we bring our theoretical and professional experience of psychology into the classroom.
Full-time students will typically receive 12 contact hours per week, and will need to devote at least 30 hours a week to study.
Part-time students will receive six contact hours per week, and will need to spend at least 15 hours a week on their studies
Part-time accelerated students will have six contact hours per week in Term 1 and Term 3, with two contact hours per week in Term 2. On average, students will be expected to spend approximately 30 hours per week in Term 1 and 3, and 15 hours per week in Term 2 on independent study.
Tuition
Course fees for the MSc Psychology [Conversion] are £11,000 for both the full-time and part-time options.

Master of Science in Psychology (awarded by BPP University)
