The School of Computer Science was founded in 1958 with many qualified faculty and professors such as BIT's Honorary Professor "Turing Award Winner" Mr. John Hopcroft. The school also has 5 key laboratories and an engineering center, as well as 4 international academic collaborative laboratories.

The computer science and technology program emphasizes high quality graduate education and research and prepares students for a variety of career in research and advanced development. The school has extensive collaborations with world renowned universities and institutions through joint research and training projects, information sharing, mutual visit and student exchange programs.

Annually, more than 10 world renowned scholars are invited to give presentations and short courses. In the past three years, more than 30 staff and 10 joint training doctoral students have benefited from international exchange programs. The school had attracted over 120 international students, covering undergraduate, master, and doctoral studies. The school also has close collaboration with IT companies and research institutions, domestically and internationally, including IBM, Intel, Altera, Xilinx and Oracle.

  • Master's program applicants should be university graduates by Jul 31
  • Proficiency in English language (non-native speakers with TOEFL or IELTS scores)
  • Recommendations by two professors
