Welsh and History
This course enables you to study the interaction between history, literature and language. You can study Welsh history modules and can also choose modules covering the history of Britain, Europe and the wider world. The provision in Welsh ranges from the tales of the Mabinogion to contemporary literature. Your linguistic studies will encompass the history of Welsh and its practical use for work-related purposes in preparation for employment in areas such as the civil service, local government, broadcasting, publishing, teaching, translation and arts sectors.

Admission requirements
For 2022 Entry
Offers are tariff based, 80 - 112 tariff points from a Level 3 qualification* e.g.:
- A Levels (including a B grade in Welsh or a humanitiessubject studies through the medium of Welsh. History is preferred but not essential)**
- BTEC National/Extended Diploma and Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma**: MMP-DMM
- International Baccalaureate Diploma (including H5 in Welsh)**
- Access course with Welsh element**
- City & Guilds Advanced Technical/Extended Diploma: considered on a case by case basis
- Welsh Baccalaureate is accepted
- T-levels: considered on a case-by-case basis.
International Candidates: school leaving qualifications and college diplomas are accepted from countries worldwide (subject to minimum English Language requirements).
